Jacopo Aleotti is associate professor at the Department of Engineering and Architecture. From 2014 to 2016 he was fixed-term researcher at the Department of Information Engineering. From 2006 to 2013 he was Post-Doc researcher (assegnista di ricerca). He holds a PhD degree in Information Technologies (University of Parma, 2006) and a Master degree in Electronics Engineering (University of Parma, 2002). In 2006 he received the 2006 MIMOS award by the Italian Association for Modeling and Simulation for the best PhD dissertation about modeling and simulation. In 2003 he was Marie Curie fellow at the Learning Systems and Intelligent Control Labs of AASS (Orebro University, Sweden). His research interests include robot programming by demonstration, 3D perception, human-robot interaction, robot grasping, computer graphics and virtual reality. He is IEEE Member.
